Radar Type Level Transmitter Configuration (Rosemount 5402)
Process:
The following procedure is followed to configure the Rosemount 5402 radar level
transmitter:
1. The Rosemount 5402 transmitter should be connected as shown in Figure 1 and
the Rosemount Radar Master software, whose interface is shown in Figure 2, is
used for configuration, calibration and adjustment of the transmitter.

2. In the window that appears, select the type of communication to be used for
communication with the device. For this example, the HART communication
protocol will be used.

, 3. Once the communication protocol is selected, the software will start and the
following window will be displayed where the port to which the HART cable is
connected will be selected.

4. To start searching for the connected device, click on the "Advanced" button and
a window will appear in which you must select "Scan Address Range" to enter
the device search range and once the search range has been entered, press the
"Start Scan" button to start searching for devices.

Note: If the device is properly connected, the message shown in the following
figure will appear, indicating that the device has been found.
