a)Those questions that science is currently addressing
b)Those questions that science cannot yet answer
c)Those questions which science will never be able to answer (M1)
The questions scientists are currently working on:
Is there a cure to cancer?
Is their ways in which damage to the environment can be prevented?
What causes cancer?
Is dementia curable?
These are questions that can be answered because they are feasible and the technology
required to find answers has advanced. For many years, scientists have been trying to find a
cure for cancer, and while there have been some successes where scientists have been able
to cure a patient, the exact remedy is still being researched.
The Questions that science cannot yet answer?
Why do we dream?
Is their life on other planets?
When will the world end?
Can we overcome ageing?
These questions can't be answered right now because scientists don't have the technology
to conduct the studies and find all of the answers. However, in order to answer the ageing
question, scientists have considered freezing humans and bringing them back to life, but
they will need volunteers to test this hypothesis. Few people are willing to volunteer
because there is no way to ensure that the volunteers will survive being frozen and
defrosted.
