and sustainment plan to support the strategy of an organization expanding to open offices
in sub-Sahara Africa.
Relocating operations into a new market is one of the most challenging situations for human
resource departs and organizations in general. The relocation causes a disruption to the daily
operations of the employees, which spills over to affect organizational operations. As such, there
is a need for proper planning by the human resource department in order to ensure the successful
relocation of operations into new markets. In this case, an organization is establishing its
operations in the eastern part of Africa and the criticality of the services offered and the
competitive environment warrants the movement of its employees in certain departments. The
company need to relocate employees with relevant skills projected to be essential for the success
of the firm in the new market. The HR department is obligated to ensure a smooth relocation of
the staff and create a good environment for operations in Sub-Sahara Africa.
Based on the bulk of work and the conditions of work in the new country, the firm will
need to relocate forty employees. The employees will be supported by other workers that shall be
