The short-term goal is to help my mentee acquire skills and knowledge that will enable her to
get a supervisory role in the organization (Pettit, 2020). For the short-term goals, a duration of
6 months will be ideal. One of my short-term goals is to help my mentee develop a habit of
completing tasks assigned to her within the stipulated period. For this goal, I am helping my
mentee develop a reminder colander where she can track all the duties and tasks assigned to
her and complete them. Another short-term objective is to help her overcome the challenge of
arriving late to work. Since punctuality is critical at our workplace, I am training my mentee to
be punctual by ensuring that she prepares adequately for the start of the day. For instance, she
should be able to complete most of the house chores in the evening and have everything ready
before going to bed. This will help her avoid handling many chores in the morning that would
probably make her arrive late at work.
