, Introduction:
Gasiinsamut Thai Fusion is a Thai dishes restaurant located in Katoomba that was rated 2.5
out of 5 star on Tripadvisor. Like many other restaurants, Gasiinsamut Thai Fusion has some
characteristics as a local food restaurant to be considered the strengths of the restaurant but
it also has plenty of weaknesses that impact seriously of its reputation. It is vital to find the
way to overcome the customers’ complaints and gaining back reputation as well as better
profit from taking advantages on the macro factors. This essay is to consider two main
objects about this restaurant: first, analyze the SWOT analysis of the restaurant and be
specific in Strength and Weakness points; and second, reveal how the restaurant owner take
advantage on the macro environmental factors to help their business and raise their rating of
reputation.


Body:
Kajanus, Leskinen, Kurttila, & Kangas (2012) defined that SWOT analysis generally utilized
tool for breaking down conditions to achieve both a systematic approach and support for a
decision – making circumstance. The interior and outside variables most critical for what's to
come and they are alluded to as key elements. In SWOT analysis, these elements are
assembled into four classes called SWOT groups: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats. The reason for applying SWOT to a key arranging procedure is as a rule to create
and receive a methodology bringing about a solid match between the interior and outside
components. Meaning the SWOT helps finding business' capacities to utilize them to
advance the opportunities and avoid the present and coming dangers (Ayub, Razzaq, Aslam,
& Iftekhar, 2013). Therefore, in this essay, strength and weakness points will be thoroughly
analyzed of the Gasiinsamut Thai Fusion restaurant. All information and evaluations are
taken from the reviews of Tripadvisor website (Tripadvisor).
The first part will evaluate about the restaurant’s strengths which are: the variety menu and
localize taste, reasonable price and convenient location. At Gasiinsamut Thai Fusion, they
serve customers with authentic Thai cuisine with Thai traditional ingredients. Their menu is
divided into eight sections which are entrée, curries, stir fries, seafood, noodle and rice, salad
and BBQ, soups and drinks. In each section, they provide plenty of different dishes which
show diversified menu and offer the guests the variety options. In addition, in every dish, it
goes into detailed in the ingredients presenting in those dishes which are satisfied the
customers’ questions and avoidable the allergic problems.
According to the Tripadvisor website, when mentioning about the cost that they spent on
their meal in this restaurant, they commented that it was a reasonable price because it is
balanced between the amount of food on the dish and the price of that dish. In the other
