Marketing environment analysis
Analyzing the marketing environment is refer to the forces that help the business to build a successful
customer relationship. It will help to business to know forcers which affect the quality of business to the
customer and the changes that will affect the marketing environment and how firm react to those
forces.

There are 2 types of environment such as external environment and internal environment. Those 2 are
also divided in to 2 categories, micro environment and macro environment.

First, micro environment, which are the forces that will affect the company indirectly and those are
happened to be near the business, such as company action. Which exist financing, R&D, purchasing,
operation and accounting. Suppliers, who are the provider for materials and pricing to the firm.
Intermediaries, such as reseller, physical distribution firms. Customer, who are the main target and will
make the business run so firm has to work hard to satisfy the customer needs and wants. Competitors,
the business who will be threat to firm, the business must monitor the competitor in order to create an
effective marketing strategies. Those are similar to SWOT factors of the business.

Second, macro environment, those are the forces that are external factors that will affect the decision,
working styles, process and strategies. Firm cannot control those forces it is the same as PESTEL terms.
Beside this, it also coexist the key generation factors, which are the segmentation of the customer base
on generation age. For instance, generation X, generation Y and baby boomers.

PESTEL changes which are Political, economic, socio‐cultural, technology, natural environment and legal
can also be consider as the environmental forces that will affect customer purchasing power.

Based on these factors there are 3 types of companies that responding to these environment market,
Those are who make things happened, who watch things happened and wonder what`s happened.


SWOT AND PPESTEL ANALISIS
SWOT and PESTEL analyze are use to understand the internal and external forces that will affect the
business and positioning in the market. SWOT are divided in to 2 parts. First, Strength and Weakness are
the internal forces these can be what company good at and have the positive action in the business and
something that business doesn`t good at or the negative things inside the company that can be view as
opportunity for competitors. Second, opportunity and threats are consider as the external forces that
come from outside the firm and impact on the business. If we talk about external forces those are
PESTEL which are Political, Social, Economic, Natural Environment, Technology and Legal.

Political changes can influence the way of putting product in to the market. Economic, the economic
always changes every year, the tax and bill can boost the business. Social, the happening in the social
system can make the product be wanted or not, it can affect the buying decision. Technology can help to
develop the product. Environmental issues, the nature environment can affect the business. Legal, the
laws can affect the way of doing business. As these external forces, business can`t directly influence
them but firm can change it to opportunity and threat of the firm and study for the upcoming
challenges.
