Instructions
• This examination question paper consists of four compulsory questions. The mark allocation
per question is as follows:
- Question 1: 42 marks
- Question 2: 20 marks
- Question 3: 16 marks
- Question 4: 22 marks
• The questions must be answered in English.
• Ensure that your answers are correctly numbered, as indicated in the examination paper.
• If you type your answers, type in Arial 12 pt.
• If you write your answers, please write neatly and legibly.
• Handwritten paper-based answer sheets must be scanned and converted into a single PDF
document. Ensure that you scan all the pages in the correct order.
• Please note that this exam is using the invigilator app. Please find the QR Code below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INVIGILATOR APP:
• Please log into The Invigilator App. You need to be connected to the internet in order to
log in and scan the QR code.
• Scan the QR code above once the examination formally commences. If you encounter
difficulty with scanning of the QR code you can also enter the QR access code at the
bottom of the QR code in order to start the assessment.
• Once the QR code is scanned, you can place your smartphone next to you. The
Invigilator App will notify you when an action is required. Ensure your media volume Is
turned up.
• You may access your MyExams in the application if you only have one device by
pressing the ‘access LMS’ button.
• Please remember to keep your smartphone on charge for the duration of the
assessment.
• Keep The Invigilator app open on your cell phone during the assessment. You are not
allowed to leave or minimise the application.
• When an action is required, a notification beep will be heard. Action the request.
• Please ensure you are connected to the internet in order to commence the examination
as well as at the end of the examination. No internet connection is needed during the
assessment.
Additional instructions
1. You must upload your answer script as a single PDF file. The answer script must not be
password protected or uploaded as a “read only” file.
2. E-mailed scripts will not be accepted.
3. Preview your submission (answer script) to check its legibility and to make sure that the
correct file has been uploaded.
4. You can resubmit your answer script should your initial submission be unsatisfactory.
5. Answer scripts in an incorrect file format and uncollated answer scripts will not be considered.
6. If you submit the wrong file or submit your answer script on an unofficial examination platform
(e.g., the invigilator cellphone application), the script will not be marked and there will be no
opportunity for resubmission.
7. The mark awarded for an incomplete answer script will be your final mark. There will be no
opportunity for resubmission.
8. The mark awarded for a scanned file that is illegible will be your final mark. There will be no
opportunity for resubmission.
9. Submissions will only be accepted from registered student accounts.

10. Students who have not used the invigilation or proctoring tools will be subjected to disciplinary
processes.
11. Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the examination will be subjected to
disciplinary processes. Unisa has zero tolerance for plagiarism and any other forms of
academic dishonesty.
12. You will have one hour to submit your answer script after the official examination time.
Submissions made after the official examination time will be rejected and will not be marked.
13. If you experience network or loadshedding challenges during the official examination time, you
are advised to apply for an aegrotat within three days of the examination session and to
provide supporting evidence.
14. If you experience technical difficulties during the examination session, contact the Student
Communication Service Centre (SCSC) on 080 000 1870 or . A
list of additional contact numbers is available at Get-Help. Only communication received from
your myLife account will be considered.
