REFLECTION ON LEADERSHIP
Part A: Leadership
philosophy My Leadership
Style
The style of my leadership leans towards a participative and democratic type of leadership,
I like to set rules and regulations for my work and the final decision is taken by me, I like to
actively involve my members of the team in any procedure of process of my business.
I am a leader who believes in building trust between me and my people as I always want my
followers to feel valuable and engaged. Although this is not so good in the high pressure
situations which requires the fast turnaround and it slows a person down. If I will dislike
disagreement or conflict then I might struggle with the way people respond to the
consultation (Ojokuku, Odetayo, and Sajuyigbe, 2012).
As a democratic leader, following are some of the principles that I would never violate, the
principles mentioned below are things that I strongly believe in and these are important
factors for me (Hadjithoma‐Garstka, 2011).
My leadership principles
Promotion of free flow of the ideas
As a leader I strongly feel that employees should feel involved and I also believe in taking
opinions from the people in order to help them in making good and informed decisions.
Input is a thing that should be allowed to flow.
The inspiration of respect and trust
