Introduction
It may be easy to organize everything through computer-based filling systems and
spreadsheets when they start the business. The sheer amount of information an individual has
may become cumbersome as the business grow. That is when it is advisable to implement a
database because it has numerous benefits over a spreadsheet that can help save money and
time while increasing the business.
Queries
An individual can use select queries when they want to select specific data from one
or more sources. It helps combine data from several data sources and retrieve only the data
that is required. Tables and other selected queries can be used as data sources for a select
query. Using the Query Wizard, this topic provides an overview of choose queries and creates
a select query. Queries are more potent than other searches that can be carried out within a
table (Drake and Walz, 2018). In business, a search can help the user find one customer's
name and run a query to find the name and other information such as the phone or ID number
of every customer who has purchased within a given period, maybe a week or a month. A
well-designed query can provide information that cannot be found by merely looking through
the data in the tables.
Forms
Forms are useful in entering, modifying, and viewing records. They are typically used
to guide individuals toward entering data correctly. Forms used when registering for school,
applying for a job, or visiting a doctor's office are examples of how effective forms can be.
