GREEN HOTELS
First and foremost, Bohdanowicz (2005) expressed the green idea of the hotel industry has
seen a rise in consciousness since the last part of the 1980's. The hotels are the essential type
of accommodation and one of the main components of the travel and hospitality industry yet
they are likewise a significant energy and water concentrated area in their daily activities
(Verma and Chandra, 2016; Han, Lee, Trang and Kim, 2018). According to Yi, Li and Jai
(2018), these features are causing genuine ecological as well as reputational issues to the
hotel’s executives and todays, customers are more and more conscious of these issues thus,
they are requesting green awareness in hotels operation management. On top of that, there is
the community concern over ecological harm and the customer’s preference for green
oriented items and services have imposed hotel directors to green their operations (Wolfe and
Shanklin, 2001; Manaktola and Jauhari, 2007; Han, Hsu and Lee, 2009). In addition to this,
Verma and Chandra (2016) further revealed that hoteliers are adjusting to these green wave
by giving green aspects to their services.

Moreover, an ever increasing number of hotels are integrating green practices in their day to
day operations (Martínez García de Leaniz, Herrero Crespo and Gómez López, 2018). In line
to that, green hotel practices are viewed as one of the environmentally sound or green
initiatives that intend to eradicate of the adverse effect on the environment by saving energy,
