Pakistan Government website http://pakistan.gov.pk/ is an official gateway to the Pakistan
Government. It is currently operating in all web browsers. The government wishes to
introduce a new User interface for the official website for mobile users for effective access to
all services of e-government. You have learned the UI design principles basic concept UI
design process. You are asked to design Mobile UI for Government Pakistan official website

opens the current website in his mobile web-browser? (Marks 2)
Answer: User is unable to focus on this website on mobile browser because the view on desktop
screen and on mobile browser is still same that’s why user face many difficulties on mobile browser
to use this website.
Some of the main difficulties are as following:
• content material may be very small. We need to zoom in to read the content.
Furthermore, also difficult to click on (buttons , links ETC).
• The page didn’t fixed on default screen on mobile browser because of
responsiveness effects.
Q.No.2. What issues shall you take into consideration while designing user interface, for
certain navigation, user task/experience, linking structure of web pages UI effectiveness,
ease and so on?

Answer:
The layout should be designed according to familiarity of targeted end users. The color scheme
should be good and attractive to the user (according to the targeted users). The content should be
set properly for better view on mobile screen. For example in this website the navigation not set
properly. user tasks should be set properly for good result and it’s response. The link structure of a
website plays a role with regard to external incoming links and internal linking. Both cases are
weighted differently by search engines.
Consistency: the interface should be consistence in that, wherever possible , comparable operations
should be active in the same way.
Minimal surprise: user should never be surprised by the behavior of the system.
Recoverability: the interface should include mechanisms to allow users to recover from errors.
User guidance: the interface should provide meaningful feedback when error occur and
provide context-sensitive user help facilities.

consideration? Which user centered technique do you think is best suited in this scenario
