Introduction
The League of Nations is an international intergovernmental organization
established in 1919 to promote cooperation among peoples and ensure peace and
security. It ceased toexist with the formation of the United Nations.
The relevance of the work lies in the fact thatstudying the history of the
League of Nations makes it possible to understand a deeper problem, namely, how
the lack of development of the legal foundations of a large international
organization can lead to the impossibility of its opposition in practice to major
international conflicts.
