Def:- modified apocrine sweat gland producing milk.
Site:- from sternal margin to midaxillary line.
Sex:- present in both sexes
but rudimentary in immature female & male (at level of 4th intercostal space.
Shape:- hemispherical
Axillary tail of Spence:-
*extends upwards & laterally, below pectoralis major.
* pierces deep fascia & lies in axilla.
*Mistaken as lymph nodes or lipoma.
