Angina - chest pain Apex - Bottom of the heart --- to the left of the sternum, 5th ICS/6th rib Arteries - carry oxygenated blood away from the heart --- except the *pulmonary artery* which carries deoxygenated blood from systemic circulation; right side of heart; to lungs Automaticity - The cells within the heart's electrical system can generate action potential r electrical impasse without being excited by an external stimuli Base - Top of heart --- to the right o the sternum, 2nd ICS Blood Flow - Circulation is a continuous loop - Blood circulation through normal cardiac chambers and valves usually makes no noise (except with murmurs) Blood flows from a higher pressure gradient to a lower pressure gradient Blood Pressure - Blood Pressure
