A. VISUAL COMMUNICATION
Communication is the process of delivering messages from communicators.
Communicate through the medium – intent and specific purpose. The principles of visual
communication are. However, the above communication process is visual production of
objects with communicative messages more precisely (Frascara, 2004). Because of
"Beauty" itself is relative. In other words, it varies from person to person, people/any
culture.
B. COMMUNICATION & DESIGN
Aesthetics play a very important role in design, and aesthetics here must be
integrated with the wishes of the customer or target group. Aesthetics must be important
to the :
(1) puts the at the forefront of attention,
(2) conveys a message,
(3) influences the perception of the audience, influences the ,
(4) Embedding Messages Deeper,
(5) "Active Life" in Design,
(6) Environmental Quality (Frascara, 2004).
C. AESTHETICS COMMUNICATION & DESIGN
The aesthetic of design is "choice". Because there is no global consensus on
whether a design work is good or bad. In the context of communication, a proper
understanding of the aesthetic orientation of the audience is required so that the design
created is not indigestible. (Frascara, 2004).
D. TODAY’S AESTHETICS
A work of art is not always beautiful, and what is beautiful is not always a work of
art. Likewise, aesthetics do not necessarily become works of art, and works of art do not
necessarily have to be aesthetic... Aesthetics as a science today refers not only to beauty
itself, but also to social, political, economic and cultural issues. religion, Ideology, morality,
etc. (Agung, 2017).
E. STRUCTURE IN AESTHETICS
"The basic visual vocabulary consists of formal elements including lines, shapes,
and tones" (Adams, 2008). Understanding aesthetics, indeed the most basic criteria, is
the study of art forms called design structures or visual structures. It consists of design
elements, design principles, and design principles (Dharsono, 2007: 69).
