Module 1
Nursing as a caring profession
As this course unfolds students should always keep in mind that the evolution of self into a professional can be a disquieting
journey yet is necessary towards becoming a competent practitioner.

• Develop an understanding of Dr. Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring and Unitary Caring Science
