Divisions of the Nervous System
The nervous system is divided into two main parts
1-The central nervous system which consists of the brain, located in the cranial
cavity and spinal cord, located in the spinal canal
2-The peripheral nervous system which consists
of: the cranial nerves, emerging from the cranial cavity through different
foramina, and spinal nerves, emerging from the spinal cord and their associated
ganglia
