bilateral, cone-shaped depression
extending deep from the
infratemporal fossa all the way to
the nasal cavity via the
sphenopalatine foramen.

maxilla, sphenoid and
palatine bones, and
communicates with other
regions of the skull and facial
skeleton via several canals
and foramina.
