Strategic Plan - Hasbro Inc.
In today’s competitive world there are several trends and forces, both external and
internal factors that can lead businesses on different pathways. Trends and forces are necessities
that must be analyzed by organization and fostered as a tool to increase revenue. Organizations
that respond and react to changes and modify their strategic plan when necessary will remain on
top in the industry and against their competition. In order for a business to thrive in today’s
shifting business environment, the administration of that particular organization must have the
capability to respond to changes in the trends and forces in the business setting. With Hasbro
Inc., the new plan to get into the service of a toy based themed Day Care Facility does just that, it
will be able to branch out into another division of Hasbro Inc. that could be very lucrative to the
company. Knowing upfront that there will be a great deal of costs that the company will have to
invest makes the vision a little clearer and gives the company a goal to reach. Utilizing their
strategic partners will be a helpful tool as well to ease the start up. Hasbro Inc. released a third
quarter rise of 7% revenue in April 2014 which also helps their position to start their new
division of Day Care Facilities.
SWOT Analysis
In this SWOT analysis I will be discussing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats that will be taken in consideration for Hasbro Inc.’s new division for the toy themed Day
Care Facilities.
I will first be discussing the strengths I feel are relevant with this plan. The mission of
Hasbro Inc. is “"The heart of Hasbro's business is making great games, toys, lifestyle and
entertainment products that are enjoyed by people of all ages worldwide. Hasbro intends to be
