How the Economy Went Down In the U.S. Due To Covid-19
Introduction
The COVID-19 emergency has prompted a sudden change to the U.S. economy. Retail
sales, which mainly track consumer product sales, decreased from February to March 2020, the
greatest decrease since Census Bureau began to track the information. Towards the beginning of
May, as certain states lifted social distancing limitations, sales in most goods sectors started to
improve. The Covid-19 emergency has hit the country's industrial production, for example,
mining, utility, and manufacturing sectors. Manufacturing and Industrial production fell strongly
last year from March and has just somewhat improved from that point forward. This decrease
represents various difficulties to the U.S. manufacturing sector, which utilizes roughly 13 million
workers, depending only on specialists who cannot work distantly. In connection to this, Covid-
19 has an impact on how the economy went down in the U.S.
