Bones of the Leg
Tibia
is the medial and larger of the two bones in the calf/leg, and is the only one
that articulates with the femur at the knee joint
The proximal end of the tibia
consists of medial and lateral
condyles, separated by an
intercondylar region.
Inferior to the condyles, there
is tibial tuberosity
The distal end of the tibia, on
the medial side has the medial
malleolus
Fibula is the lateral bone which is connected to the tibia, above and below
