Healthcare policy evaluation is an essential aspect of policy-making process that allows policymakers to know the extent of the success or failure of the policy and give them the sense of basis for brainstorming on what needs to be done to re-shape/improve the system for improved outcomes. The nursing process identifies evaluation as an essential tool for achieving improved patient outcomes; the same ways are federal, state, local and organizational healthcare policy should be evaluated to know if the goal of establishing the system is achieved or a need for modification.
