United States vs. Germany Healthcare systems. Affordable quality healthcare for all populations in the United States remains to be one of the hottest topics in politics and the advertising industry today. Other countries are finding ways to deliver quality healthcare to their residents at an affordable cost, but the cost for U. S. residents continues to increase. Universal health care as described by the World Health Organization, is a situation where citizens can access health services without incurring financial hardship. (WHO, 2010). The concept of “Universal Healthcare” was introduced to the United States while Bill Clinton was President. Germany, already has, and for many years, has “Universal Healthcare”, which was introduced by Otto Von Bismarck, who became the prime minister in 1862. The Bismarck Model, which is a government regulated healthcare system that provides regulated healthcare services for the country’s entire population, no matter the age, ethnicity, or social status of the citizen.
