ASPECT OF STUDENT GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
(PHYSICAL-MOTORIC)
CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION
A. Background
Humans as social beings, always in touch with other humans in society. Socialization
is basically a process of adjustment to social life. Thus it is clear that social relations are
relations between humans who need each other, both from children, adolescents, adults, to
the elderly. The term growth cannot be separated sharply, but if you want to differentiate
it, growth refers more to physical changes while development is more towards
psychological changes where these changes occur as a result of automatic internal forces
and external forces.
B. Problem Formulation
1. What is the nature of the growth and development of students?
2. What is meant by physical-motor?
3. What are the principles of physical development?
4. What principles of motor development?
5. What are the characteristics of physical-motor development?
6. What are the factors that influence physical-motor development?
7. What is the teacher's role in facilitating physical and motor development and its
implications for learning?
C. Purpose
It is appropriate that in a research the writer has a purpose which is the purpose of
writing. Because the goal expresses the goals to be achieved in a research process as an
answer to the problems that have been determined in the problem formulation. The
purpose of this study was to find out about the aspects of growth and development of
students (physical-motor ).
CHAPTER II DISCUSSION
, A. The nature of the growth and development of students
From various divisions of experts, the statement is obtained that the term growth
cannot be separated sharply, but if you want to differentiate it, growth refers more to
physical changes, while development is more towards psychological changes where these
changes occur as a result of automatic internal forces and internal forces. -Forces from
outside.
B. Physical-motor definition
Physical development is a development that shows changes in the child's body shape,
child's height, child's weight, and also the child's brain development. At the age of 6-12
years, children's physical development is relatively slower and consistent. This
development occurs until major changes occur at the beginning of puberty (Tri, 2018). The
physical development of children can be seen from the general description concerning the
increase in height, weight, and other visible physical characteristics. Elementary-aged
children are in a calm phase, physical development in their time is slow but consistent.
The basic characteristics of children's physical development in children aged 7 to 9 years,
girls are generally shorter and lighter than boys. At ages 9 to 10, girls are usually the same
height and weight as boys. At around 11 years of age, girls are taller and heavier than
boys.
Motor development is the process of developing a person's motor skills, both gross
and fine motor (Hidayati, 2010). Gross motor skills are movements that use almost all of
the large muscles of the body. Meanwhile, fine motor is a movement that uses small
muscles and eye-hand coordination (Decaprio, 2013). Gross motoric and fine motoric
development in children is strongly influenced by physical development. Completeness
and physical health of children is one that has a major influence on motor development.
Motor skills mean the development of physical movement skills through coordinated
nerve and muscle movements. Basic motor skills have a role as the basis for skills.
Motoric abilities have an important role in every activity carried out (Wicaksono &
Nurhayati, 2013).
C. Principles of physical development
The physical development of children that is often discussed is the growth and
development of children normally for children at a certain age, that changes in the child's
