Who did you interview? How/ where did you interview them? Provide their name,
company name, job title, and contact information.
I recently interviewed Scarlet Crist, a clinical psychologist working at Kub and Sons in Chicago
II. The interview was through a special phone call as I couldn't move to Chicago at the moment
due to the Covid-19 restrictions. I reached her through her phone number, +1 (555) 561 5464, to
get more information about what clinical psychologists do and how efficient it is to work with
various groups of people that need help. She also handed me an address as additional contact
information to attain more details concerning clinical psychology: 5469 Bette Sravenue, Chicago
II.
What was the most surprising thing you learned via this experience?
I learned that the clinical psychology field is very competitive and requires an individual to have
the best skills and education to get to the professional level. At first, I believed there was a
shortage of clinical psychologists, but my interviewee surprised me by noting that extreme
competition exists in the field. Additionally, the interviewee pointed out that some patients
seeking help are not constantly collaborating. It is up to clinical psychologists to develop an idea
of how to engage the client and help them overcome their problem. Also, some cases are so
extreme, making it essential for clinical psychologists to control their emotions while treating
such cases. The interview experience opened me to the reality of how clinical psychologists have
to go through challenging situations while helping patients with mental health issues to fully
recover.
How has this interview informed your impression of this career path?
