Self-Awareness-NSTP
In this lesson, I found out the Importance of Self Awareness such as a better
understanding of ourselves, Authentic feeling of self-reliance and confidence,
Appreciation of our uniqueness, Empowerment to decide on changes, build on
areas of strengths and talents I believe that these factors will help us to develop
ourselves and to turn out our weakness to strength. Self-awareness is an awareness
of one’s personality or individuality, we’re unique in our ways. I also found out
that according to Morrel, R.W 1999, if you want to be more successful in life, you
should believe in yourself. Keep your priorities straight, through this, you’ll find
the better version of yourself. Also, avoid unnecessary thoughts. It can impair one's
ability to see opportunities as well as one's proclivity to capitalize on them. This
means that the increased sense of stress is the result of both perception and
behavioral changes that occur as a result of it. I also discovered that the 'Self' has
four distinct aspects. The physical self, the spiritual self, the social self, and the
private self are all interconnected.
In terms of society, I found out that it is defined as a group of people living in
a community or an organized group of people for a common purpose. It means that
people will not able to survive without others. I learned that culture provides
important social and economic benefits since it enhances our quality of life and
increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities. I’m also
amazed at how Values are extremely powerful since it guides people and
determines what behavior is acceptable and what behavior is not, it is also the most
significant thing to attain happiness. In the Philippines, we have our Filipino
Values. It includes hiya, utang na loob, hospitable, bayanihan, and respect the
others. For me, the best value that Filipinos have is Respect for others. It treats
others with dignity and respect, this can also be done out of a sense of basic justice,
fairness, and concern for one's fellowmen, nature, or anything that once lived.
