Geodesy is the science of the measurement and representation o
shape, size and distribution of the earth and its gravity field in 3-
time-varying space.
It deals with determining:
▪precise positions on the surface of Earth,
▪the size and shape of Earth,
▪the motions of Earth in space, and
▪the gravity field of Earth.
