Business was growing, but they didn't have enough workers. Therefore, they brought people/ people who moved to the US. It wasn't only in the USA, however. Other countries also had these problems, leading to more people migrating to different areas. 3. How do you think global capitalism played a role in increased migrations during this time period? The capitalists continued to rely on forced labor, therefore bringing people to these areas, increasing migrations. Part 2: Migration Factors 4. Describe PUSH factors in your own words. Push factors are factors that force people away from their country. 5. Describe PULL factors in your own words. Pull factors are factors that appeal to people and draw them to a certain country. 6.
