What is your critique of the literature about that general topic?
The literature will be precisely in tandem with the general topic. There will be no inconsistencies
between the two. The literature will cover how the Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted the global
food supply chain. There will be a specific coverage of the Covid-19 and its impacts on the global supply
chain, focusing on the food trade. The critique of the literature that had been explored lacks several
research areas regarding the issues behind the global food supply chain due to the covid 19. The area
missing in the literature other than domestic policies of how government members are handling or
reviving the domestic food trade activities in the global political arena would be the conflict zones that
affect farming and food production. The current Ukraine-Russia conflict has become the centre of
attention for traders and importers. This is because one-third of the world's food supply is sourced from
these two countries.
Secondly, logistic companies like shipping lines such as Maersk and air freight companies are
taking advantage of maximizing profit from exporters and importers due to the covid 19 pandemic. This
is due to the lack of equipment availability and shipping space. This will only result in a price hike for
food products and make it more expensive for exporters and importers to trade. This also affects
domestic and international market demand due to food price hikes. Freight and logistic company are
becoming the masters rather than the companies exporting and importing the food products and more
selective in taking cargo. Another crucial area to focus on in the literature review is the constant
