1. Description:
Update your existing corporate infrastructure diagram to include server roles (including
operating systems) for your company.
In a labelled diagram, write one paragraph per server describing its operating
system, each server role, system requirements, its purpose, and reason for
choosing particular location for the service. You must use at least one credible
reference.
Do not forget that you will need to account for the following services: webserver,
DHCP, DNS, email, database (as necessary for the corporation), and directory
services.
2. Description:
Install the appropriate Directory Services application on Windows Server.
Ensure that the root domain object is labeled as "win.companyname.net"
appropriate for your corporation.
Note: You will need to install DNS either during or just prior to the Directory
Services installation.
As you go, take instructional notes and screenshots that will help to reproduce
your process. Submit these notes as proof of completion.
Write a 250- to 350-word paper discussing the key features and components of
each directory service and how those components would best be applied for your
corporation. You must use at least one credible reference.
The purpose of this proposal is to provide Lopes Manufacturing with proper tools needed
to setup new servers with the proper operating system needed to get this organization to where it
need to be. Lopes Manufacturing has been designing and manufacturing parts for the United
States Military for years and the servers will help the organization grow even more by providing
the proper hardware and software. The new servers will be updated with new Windows and
Linux integration along with new user policies and groups to keep the network more secure.
The recommended servers and workstations are required in order to complete this project.
