Moral and Ethical Issue The principal approach to ethic is a modern theory using four ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice (Lachman, n.d.). Nurses are responsible to respect patient autonomy as well as maintaining the trustful relationship with patient that honor and focus the patient needs. The example that I am using for this assignment is about an adult who started having a seizure episode in the grocery store. In that grocery store, there were multiple people but no body knew what to do except this nurse practitioners. The nurse practitioner is confused whether to provider her medical services to this young women but at the same time, she does not wanted to be accused of practicing medicine without supervisor attending physician. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the moral and ethical issue the nurse practitioner faces and outline the process how to address this ethical issue. Describe the moral and ethical dilemmas surrounding the issue In this particular scenario, the advanced practice nurse went through multi resolving ethical issues. First, she is scared that if something went wrong, she would end up in malpractice lawsuits. Second, she also does not wanted to abandon this patient who needs medical attention right away but she is scared that she might have to recompense for the injury or loss
