Art Creation & Reflection – Photography/Cinema 3 Photography has truly changed the world and how we view it. There was a time where we relied on our memories to provide a mental picture and the use of descriptions to tell the story to someone else. As time goes on and evolves we develop paintings which tell a story, but not everyone could get even a simple portrait done of themselves and you still had to rely on memory to catch the moments that couldn’t be painted. From there we moved into projection which allowed us to trace an image and paint it. Finally, we evolved to cameras which continually improve to the point of having cell phones with cameras that look like professional photos. We have the ability to capture any memory. If you want to show someone a new decoration and they can’t come over for months you can send a picture. You’re driving and see a beautiful sunset; you can simply take a picture.
