work within when planning their daily activities. A year plan can include
assessment dates and other extracurricular events that may interfere with an
academic period in addition to term dates and holidays. When a teacher plans
academic lessons, this can be avoided by using the year plan. When knowledge
and abilities are related to the year plan or even the calendar, a year plan can
be used to one's benefit in life skills. For instance, the educator can incorporate
"caring for others" learning activities on Mandela Day. As a result, there will be
a higher percentage of active, collaborative learning, which will make the
educational material more relatable.
