Tableau Dashboard: Generally, the dashboard is a high-level business data view where the reports originated. Dashboarding in tableau gives high performance and allows non-technical users to access and use the data with creative and real-time visualization. The dashboard is a collection of worksheets allowing analyzing multiple views simultaneously.

Tableau Dashboard from Start to End (Part 1)| HR Dashboard | Beginner to Pro |
Tableau Project

We will see the design and development of a beautiful dashboard in Tableau
software. In the data I will be using for this particular development I will add a
link for you to download in the description box. You can practice this dashboard in
your own system by following this video. There are different elements on this part
particular dashboard, including a KPI card and an attrition counter. 89 employees
have left the company as they have uh, 89 employees. We can see the attrition
counter so only activa 517 and 15 are leaving the company. In Power BI, we do it so
let's start our video. Before that, I will show you the data which we have. This is
an Excel file, and it is not a CSV file. In this, we can see almost 14 almost
around approximately 1500 rows are there.

There are different data connections available so many connections are there and uh
for now which we are connecting is our excel file or we can say a flat file. There
are two types of connection that are live connection and extract connection so it
depends upon your requirements and your situation whatever you are working on live
connection. The KPI is 1470 is the total number of employees which we have so if
you go here in your data and if you see the employee count let me show you that
field this is the employee account for each row it is giving the number as one okay
so we will be taking the sum of each row so that is it will be adding each and
everyone it will give us the count. The next thing we want is attrition okay so how
much iteration is there so when we go into the data? tableau doesn't take the same
name of the field for two particular columns or two particular fields we will be
adding it into the data pin all right so there are and we have to end this all
right. So we can see a new column has been created or a new field has been. created
in this particular data and you can see if it is if we have a small equals symbol
before that particular data type so it means that it has been calculated manually.
Double in double quotes or single quotes will work okay.

The average age of our employees is 37, and the average heat is 68 degrees. We'll
be creating a lollipop chart with this data, which will be a custom chart. What
we'll do is make it a round figure, and I'll just click on this automatically. It
will be activated here, so you can right-click and go from Format -> Number Custom
-> Small Plus Icon -> Create Instance. Remember that you have to always synchronize
the axis, so it will be a uniform axis for both of the major categories.

We will start our design of the dashboard side by side depending on you. Depending
on your system, you can take your own custom size and design this dashboard doesn't
matter. The background of this dashboard has been designed in Powerpoint so I will
show you. I designed this scene to the power in Powerpoint and then I have taken
this particular background and I have added it to our tablet. I have also created
some custom designs which you can use if you want something different. I will not
spend much time on how we are designing the backgrounds, the tableau part is
important for us so now I will post this link for this particular Powerpoint
presentation. We will be taking all the sheets and I will place them over here in
this particular area we have for that particular dashboard. So you can see it has
been perfectly fitted in my dashboard fan or canvas or background. Now what we will
be doing is

Our first KPI design is complete, and you can see how beautiful it looks right so
depending on your background there are multiple backgrounds which I have kept in
that PowerPoint. You can use any font color, any font size, and any font type all
right. The next thing which we will be using is attrition, so I will just change
the title immediately I will make it "12". We have to design our dashboard that is
formatting the charts and also formatting is important so you can see the numbers
which we have to give it here it is it should be black so I will take the text and
I will drag it here I will name the text as "JHR Analytics Dashboard" and I'll

, place it over here all right.

Tableau Dashboard from Start to End (Part 2)| HR Dashboard | Beginner to Pro |
Tableau Project

Now that we have the departmental pie chart, let's create an iteration for it.
First, we'll take a new sheet and name it "Departmental Iteration." Next, we'll
create an instance for the pie chart. If you don't know how to do this, you can
find instructions online. Once the pie chart is created, we'll format the labels.
I'll take the total number and control x, and show the total number as well. I'll
also change the bin size to three. Next, we'll count the number of employees in
each department. Finally, we'll create a final iteration of the departmental pie
chart.

First, we change the search field to "sum of employee account." Next, we format the
chart with white color and give it a new name, "heat map chart." Lastly, we remove
the line that was previously there.

We will take this and I will place it over here so just we will make it fit into
our chip okay so now we will do some formatting I will change the title first. I
will show a column of grand totals, as well as show, rose to grow what we can say
for open totals okay so you can see both grand totals I have. We want the
background of those numbers which are lying in that cell to be highlighted so I
will just go here and I will change it into the heat map right so it is you can see
it has been converted so what we will do uh we will just swap the rows and we will
make it as again interview. We will have to again add our rows and column
printables perfectly. The next part which we have to design is our bar chart okay
so for that again we will take a new sheet and the naming convention which we want
to give it as an education field-wise iteration right okay so I will rename this
first education perfect. The name which we will be using is attrition rate by
gender for different discs calculation hold it.

We want to convert our donut chart into a custom chart. By default, for females and
males, we are using the colors from our previous charts. We don't need to change
the color over here, so we will just create a new chart and get rid of these axes.
We don't want this axis, so we will just change the labels. We will format the
charts as well. We will get rid of this all this what we can see, the lines which
we have here. For all of them, we will say "none perfect." We have designed each
and every chart and we have placed it in our dashboard. If you have liked this
video, you have learned something, so give it a like and subscribe to the channel.
Share it with your friends too. The legend is so we can see whenever I'm changing
any of these filters. It is a data source filter which I told you about initially.

We will be designing this beautiful dashboard from scratch to end in tab blue and
we will be learning the more complex formulas in this that as the complexity load
formula. Some other formulas. Tips and tricks as well. For you to practice this
particular dashboard, I will be adding the link in the YouTube description box to
download the data set. The data available for it is from 2017. So, we will be only
focusing on 2017 data right now. We'll be filtering to filter out this 2017, what
we will do is take the continuous month, from January to December, and then next
we'll be showing the sales kpi. We will be using a lodloadlculation to determine
the year-to-rate sales. We will be using a previous year's sales analysis to write
a new calculation for year-on-year sales. Instead of using this function here, you
