have seen your complete resume. Tell me few things about yourself that are not there in your resume.
When I was young, I was a state winner in Abacus as a 1st prize holder.👏👏 There has been little
increment in this thing after that. And I like tourism field.
I like travelling to different places. Okay, good Pranjal. I saw your resume. You were working as a
front end developer in a company from last 6 months and you have also written in your resume that
you worked as a freelance front-end developer for 6 months. So Pranjal, tell me a small thing, what is
the difference between front-end and back-end?
Sir, about front-end, we can say that when a user comes to our website, what does he feel about the
website design? The things that a user can see, all that comes in front-end part. And the things that a
user can't see, all that comes in back-end. If any user is filling a form, in what way his data is being
stored in our database which the user is not able to see, all that comes in our back-end part. Okay,
great Pranjal. Does a front-end developer need to have knowledge of back-end?
Sir, a front-end developer should have some knowledge of back-end because the website that we are
making, how a back-end developer will play with it or which are the things that it needs through our
front-end, we will need to integrate that in our front-end part. For example, if we are integrating forms.
In forms, an attribute with name "Name" is there, the front-end developer should also know
from where the back-end developer will bring the data. So, we add "Name" attribute for back-end.
But, a back-end developer can himself do this thing. So, if a front-end developer doesn't do this then
also it can work. Right? Sir, if a front-end developer doesn't do this then this thing will work but it will
consume more time. If I am working on that then I will make those things already ready.
Hence, the back-end developer will just bring it. If the back-end developer himself works on that part
of front-end then it will be some more time consuming process and the work of that website will take
more time. Look Pranjal, this thing doesn't make that much difference but if you do this thing as a
front -end developer then it will a plus point and it will be a good thing that you are giving such
attributes that a back-end developer will need. But, it is good even if you implement it or not.
What are the words "Static" and "Dynamic" representing in the terms "static websites" and "dynamic
websites"? Sir, there are 2 types of websites: Static websites and Dynamic websites. In static
websites, its content and the images will be always same .
There will be no changes in that in future. But in case of dynamic websites, its content and images
keep on changing on a regular basis. If I write a blog or I bring up a newspaper website then the
developer of that website keeps on updating those things regularly. If a new news came then in it,
new content and images will also come. Or new blogs keep on coming in it.
So here, the things keep on changing. So, the difference between both is that in one case, the
images and content don't change in our website. So, they are the static websites. And in dynamic
websites, the content and the images keep on changing on regular basis Do only images change? Or
can some other things also change? The layout of that website can change or its images or its
content and many other things. If there is change in any thing of that website
then it is counted in dynamic website. Generally, layout changes don't happen in websites because it
means that you had posted some blog, in that blog, there was a content section below the image
, section. And layout change means that dynamically, you changed that layout also. In some websites,
layout do change. You might have heard about such content management systems in which layout
also change. But, we will not consider layout change. We can say that its images, videos, content
or whatever assets it has, they can change. Okay, good. Pranjal do you have any idea about "http"?
What is it? Sir, I don't have its in-depth idea. But I know its overview that "http" is Hyper Text Transfer
Protocol which does the work of response and request between the browser and the server.
Okay great. When a developer wants to become a front-end developer at initial stage, when we talk
about a front-end developer who is a fresher then which are the core technologies which he must
know? Sir, the core technologies is HTML and CSS. You can design a website with the combination of
these 2
and you can fix the color codes, some other things and the layout of the website. If I hosted any
website and if someone doesn't have laptop at that moment then he opens it in whichever device he
has like mobile or tablet. So, you have to make everything in a responsive way. So, you have media
query for that. Don't you think that a front-end developer should
also add JavaScript in core technologies? Why only HTML and CSS? Shouldn't he add JavaScript
also? Yes sir. JavaScript plays an important role as an event handling and a manipulating language.
So, it plays an important role there also. If I implement any media query and if I click somewhere after
that then something should be performed and some events should be triggered. So, JavaScript plays
an important role there. Basically a font-end developer even though he is a beginner,
be it a fresher or a person with an experience of 6 months or 1 year, he should know HTML, CSS and
JavaScript. What type of language is JavaScript? In which thing, can we consider JavaScript? Can
we call it a scripting language or a programming language or a style sheet language or a mark-up
language? In which thing, can we consider the JavaScript language? JavaScript is a scripting
language
in which we write different kinds of scripts and it is also like a programming language because we
apply our logics in that and there are so many loops, conditionals and these kinds on statement in it.
And it is also a kind of manipulating language and an even-handling language because in this, we
trigger an even when something is clicked. And it is manipulating because it manipulates things.
If we hover or click on something then it shows up some different thing by manipulating it. Does
manipulations mean bringing changes in DOM? Yes. Do you have any idea about DOM? What is
DOM? DOM is Document Object Model in which the document or the object that is getting viewed by
the user,
the changes should be shown to the user when we make changes in that. What are these pseudo-
classes Pranjal? Have you heard about pseudo-classes? Yes sir. Pseudo-classes are a part of CSS. I
won't call it a class or ID or a tag. We can say that pseudo-classes are a kind of selection based
classes in which I trigger tags directly. In this, I target the tags directly and get my work done. If there
are so many tags in 1 page then
instead of giving different classes of IDs, I will directly tell the tags to follow all these properties. And
after that, we have "hover", "active", "link", "visited", etc. which are mainly used for anchor tags, all
these come in pseudo-classes. Okay. Have you heard about UI/UX?
