1. Identify what has, usually does, or can interrupt your schedule.
2. Identify which of these interruptions you have had control over and which ones you haven’t.
Examples: You do not have control over getting a flat tire on your way to work; however, you do
have control over how much time you spend on social media.
3. Discuss how these interruptions have impacted your ability to accomplish tasks
successfully. 4.Consider how you’ve adjusted your schedule to deal with these interruptions.
It’s important to take a moment and think about what can interrupt or possibly interrupt us and
come up with solutions on how to take control of them. As for me, and I’m sure some can relate,
my children, noises, phone calls from family and friends, text messages, social media, and even
randomly getting sleepy at times. Those are big distractions for me during my schedule.
