,Knowledge Objectives
 OG 1.2 KO1: To interact with the patient gaining her confidence and
cooperation.

 OG 1.2 KO2: To perform a painless obstetric examination including:
Inspection, palpation (fetal lie and presentation), symphyseal fundal
height measurement, auscultation of the fetal heart.

 OG 1.2 KO3: To perform intelligent adjuvant examinations directed
by history, e.g. fundi, reflexes/clonus, general abdominal
examination (i.e. epigastric tenderness in patients with PET).

 OG 1.2 KO4: To communicate relevant results in a well-organised
manner.

, Skill objectives
 OG 1.2 SO1: To examine all patients (with verbal consent) from
whom an obstetric history is obtained

 OG 1.2 SO2: To gain accuracy with regard to determining
 fundal height in cm, fetal lie and presentation, fetal heart auscultation
 BP, pulse, deep tendon reflexes


OG 1.2 SO3: To examine the maternal abdomen at different
gestational ages in the antenatal clinic setting
