Cloud computing notes refer to written or typed records of information related to cloud computing technology. Cloud computing is a method of delivering computing services over the internet, including servers, storage, databases, software, analytics, and more, with the goal of providing flexible and scalable resources that can be accessed remotely. Cloud computing notes may include various topics related to cloud computing, such as different types of cloud models (public, private, and hybrid), cloud service models (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)), and the benefits and challenges of cloud computing. These notes may also cover various technologies and tools associated with cloud computing, including virtualization, containerization, serverless computing, and cloud security. Additionally, cloud computing notes may include case studies or examples of organizations that have successfully implemented cloud computing solutions. Overall, cloud computing notes serve as a valuable resource for individuals looking to learn more about cloud computing or for professionals seeking to implement cloud solutions in their organizations. These notes can be used as reference material or study guides for exams related to cloud computing certifications or training programs.

Cloud Computing For Beginners

Cloud computing is the use of a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage,
and process data rather than having all that locally and using local servers for that purpose. Cloud
computing also allows for storing data on the internet from anywhere, and cloud computing providers
give us the ability to manage our applications and services through a global network or the internet.
Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure are two examples of cloud providers. The companies that
offer cloud services allow for deploying and managing services and networks globally and managing
them through web management or configuration portals. Cloud services can be accessed from
anywhere, as long as there is an internet connection. There are three types of cloud platforms: public,
private, and hybrid. In public cloud, everything is stored and accessed through the internet, and any
internet users with proper permissions can access some of the applications and resources. On the other
hand, the infrastructure in private cloud is exclusively for a single organization. Hybrid cloud allows
organizations to run their cloud locally or outsource it to a public cloud provider, as managed services.
In hybrid cloud, organizations can choose to keep some applications locally and some in the cloud.
One good example is NASA, which uses hybrid cloud to store and share non-sensitive or non-
confidential data.Cloud computing offers different service models, such as software as a service
(SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). In SaaS, cloud providers sell the end product, which is a
software or application, and users buy the software on a subscription basis. In PaaS, cloud providers
offer a pre-built platform where users can deploy their codes and applications. Users have root-level
access to the software and only need to manage the code, not the infrastructure.

The resource managed by us are huge in on-premises, which is to the left as you watch, and it's a little
less in infrastructure as a service. The client maintains full control of the software and does not
maintain any equipment. Amazon and Azure also sell products that are software as a service.
Furthermore, Amazon sells additional products that are software as a service, and there's no
infrastructure component attached to them, which means that there's nothing to manage when it comes
to software since we buy the software alone. In addition, understanding the life cycle of a cloud
solution is crucial, starting with properly defining the network services and storage services, such as
VPC for network services and network identification. These services securely deliver data, video, and
applications. Knowing these services can help define the management process and tools for complete
control of the cloud environment, including monitoring AWS resources and custom applications
running on AWS platforms. AWS was launched in 2002 originally to sell the remaining or unused
infrastructure as a service to customers, and it developed its first product in 2006. In 2012, they held a
customer event to gather input and concerns from customers. Sam, a multiplatform cloud architect
and trainer, is excited to explore all AWS' essential services, such as EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, and
CloudFormation. He also discusses Azure, which has popular services such as CloudWatch for
monitoring, auto scaling for automation, and deployment automation and monitoring tools.
Furthermore, AWS and Azure have different analytics and monitoring tools, including CloudWatch
and EMR. The best part of using AWS is the pay-as-you-go model, where the more you use, the less
you pay per unit. AWS applications run on reliable and scalable infrastructure, making them very
reliable and cost-effective. Amazon's revenue from AWS was $4.5 billion in 2015 and $4.6 billion in
2016. AWS continues to release products and services that help migrate customer services into AWS
for a competitive advantage.
