Law 25 of the 48 Laws of Power
Law twenty-five, Re-Create Yourself, by Robert Greene urges people not to accept the
roles society foists on them. Red Pill, in his video, Recreate Yourself - Law 25 of the Famous
Book 48 Laws of Power, supports Greene's law by suggesting that creating a new identity would
protect one from the world. Pill further explains one would be more comfortable in the re-created
identity, for it is a costume that gives people the freedom to become whatever they want.
Moreover, the speaker explains in-born characters do not necessarily define someone because
society plays a larger role in shaping that personality. The twenty-fifth law also urges people to
incorporate dramatic gestures into their public actions and actions. Red Pill backs up this
statement by stating that it is always good to use dramatic gestures; however, too much drama
causes embarrassment. Basically, the law urges people to be directors of their own image instead
of allowing society to create them in their preferences.
Similarly, Geraldez Mohamed, in his video, (Malta) Law 25: Recreate Yourself, explains
the law's validity through the story of Aurora Dupont. Aurora was a young woman from 1831
who had no desire to live within the expectations of her society. Instead, she aspired to be a
writer, left her husband, and moved to Paris to pursue her career. At that time, the problem was
that women failed in writing; therefore, she recreated herself by playing a man's role. This
recreation helped her become among the best writers; however, people believed that she was a
man. Moreover, she changed her dressing and wore men's clothing, qualifying her to join the
