Abstract
Developmental psychologists have focused and explained how humans at different stages of life
process and understand different things within their world. Since change is not only physical,
they mainly focus on the cognitive, social, and intellectual development. To understand more
about the different stages of the lifespan, I was able to interview a young teenage boy in
adolescence as well as a middle-aged woman living what she expressed as her best life. Since the
two people interviewed were from completely different stages of life, I was able to gain a better
understanding for how each of these people varied in terms of interests and successes. Following
these two interviews, I reflected on the things that I have learned throughout my lifespan
psychology course and compared how things may or may not have differed.
Keywords: adolescence, teenagers, adults, midlife, crisis
