A lot of you wanted me to talk about my complete journey in just one video itself,
so I thought let me just share this with you. Now, this video should not come out
as a flex because there are 19 year-olds who are building thousand crore startups,
and I am here just to share my own journey of how I started, how did I scale,
increase my revenue, and everything in between.
I was disappointed about what happened with JE advance, and I was not able to get
into IITs, but then I took it upon myself that I will make sure that doesn't hinder
my performance in my career. Right, so I started learning to code, reading a lot of
books that I was already having in my house, so I was consuming knowledge from
books. I was learning to build stuff with the help of Python.
On the 25th of December 2019, I started my podcast. I realized that I have a lot of
interesting people in my college. So if I could interview them, I could just talk
to them, record this conversation that we are having, put that up on Spotify or
other places, and people would get value from that, right?
I recently embarked on writing my own book and proudly published it on July 12th,
2020, which happens to be a day before my birthday. I had no expectations regarding
the level of sales it would get, so I gave the first 4,000 copies out to everyone
absolutely free. I did this in the hopes of positively impacting others out there.
After starting an internship that paid me $5000 per month in exchange for a full-
time job's worth of work, I realized that this arrangement was not working for me.
So, five days into the job, I approached the manager and expressed my wish to
discontinue the internship. Although he was slightly disappointed, he granted me
the option to leave if I was sure it was the right decision. I took him up on his
offer and promptly returned to my YouTube channel.
Soon thereafter, an academy approached me about creating some videos or courses to
feature on their platform, and I accepted the offer without hesitation. In October
2020, I began working for this academy, teaching Python and utilizing everything I
had learned over the past year while working on various projects. Additionally, I
was approached by Able Jobs, who requested that I create videos for their YouTube
channel after watching my content on my channel.
Market Up is now an incorporated company, it's marketer private limited. I am the
director, as well as my cofounder, and we are trying to grow this agency.
Currently, we have about 15 people working with us. Five of them are full-time
employees, and the rest ten are freelancers and contractors that we work with.
When I started my YouTube channel and my podcast back in early 2020, I was heavily
trolled by all the people in my college. But, I did not listen to anyone telling me
to stop working on all of this, and focus on my CGPA.
The future is me trying to build out a product that lasts longer than the typical
videos that I'm recording on YouTube, but we will see how that goes. I will be
launching that soon. Just stay tuned on this channel.
Ishan Sharma's latest video talks about achieving the impossible. He explains how
hard work and hustle helped him achieve his dream job at a top tech company.
However, everything changed once he came back home.
