The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of drop height on vertical jumping performance in pre-, circa-, and post-pubertal boys and girls. The study found that drop height had a significant effect on vertical jump performance in all groups, with the greatest effect in the pre-pubertal group. The study also found that ply ometric training had a positive effect on vertical jump performance in all groups. The results of this study suggest that drop height should be considered when prescribing vertical jumping exercises for pre-pubertal children. Additionally, the results of the study suggest that plyometric training may be beneficial for improving vertical jumping performance in all age groups.
