The Factor Of Juvenile Delinquency in Family Environment

Juvenile delinquency is endless debatable topic stirring the world up caused
by some aspects, such as ; high percentage of rampant juvenile delinquency
cases and the lack of millennial era adolescent behaviour. In Indonesia, the are
for about 8.597 cases in 2016, 9.523,97 cases in 2017, 10.549,70 cases in 2018,
11.685,90 in 2019, and 12.994,47 cases in 2020 including promiscuty, dropping
out of school, becoming pregnant out of wedlock,consuming drugs,adultery
freesex,smoking,brawling,and many others.According to some studies,juvenile
delinquency is all behaviour colliding social norm and targeted adolescent, such
as; abusong narcotic usage, truancy, etc. Several kinds of juvenile delinquency
environment influemcing children behaviour, those are; educational
environment (truancy), family environment (broken home), osocial environment
(peer influence), and many others.But, from those information above the most
influence of children behavior if familiy environment.For the famili is
considered to be the most essential unit of social organization. It is the first
institution of children socialization and the most influental enviromental which
determine the formation of children personality development.To me,Juvenile
delinquency caused by famili environment can influence children physically
and mentality for instance,depression. Also, I originally argue that the
attachmentb between parent and child is pramount and strength of this
relationship is the most factor in determining deliquent behaviour. Therefore,all
aspects that can damage children phsycology should be avoided.
In fact, adolescent of all ages are living in various type of home,such as; with
single parent,married, devorced, and cohabiting parent.The family that the
children grow up in and social environment in which they live can have major
effect on their well-being. The majority of research finds that the youth from
broken home family report increase level of delinquency. For example, in
longitudinal served of 411 male living in South London , Juby and Farrington
found that delinquency rate were higher among 75 boys who are living in non-
intact home. Also,the found that children who live in single father family or
cohabiting families shows higher sign of delinquency tham those adolescent
from single mother family. Besides, if a child is brougt up in broken home, the
child is going to have a hard time socially and this may cause the child to turn to
deviant actions.
This fact shows that two biological-parent family exhibit higher signs of
parental monitoring when compare to the other family types and that childrem
behaviour is better in two biological-parent families. Yet,not all two biological-
