For example, my organization manages financial information that contactors submit to an enterprise database. The database contains every dollar, “from cradle to grave”, that the contractor manages for several years. Individuals in my division, query the database, pull a cross section of financial information into a comma delimited file, then drop it into an Excel file to manipulate, analyze, and pivot. These queries are saved as reports, not as partitions of the full database, nor are they updated.
