Abstract
Operation Inherent Resolve has continued to impact security concerns both in Iraq and Syria
positively. However, the coalition movement aimed at the resolution of security issues in these
countries has been faced with several challenges. The paper discusses the most significant
challenge that is faced by coalition members in their efforts to establish a secure environment
for the terrorist-threatened nations. Through the paper, it will become possible to understand the
various gaps that exist in the enhancement of a successful Operation Inherent Resolve on the
part of the United States and Joint Coalition Member Countries. The paper uses secondary data
to provide a vivid description of the challenge as well as the most viable measure that can be
adopted in resolving the challenge. From the analysis, the main challenge that is experienced is
the lack of intelligent strategies that are unknown by terrorist groups. The minimal level of
Intelligence applied by the U.S. led coalition makes the operation susceptible to terrorist groups.
It is recommendable that Intelligence is involved in strategizing so that all the existent gaps can
be closed. The application of Intelligence will also ensure that there will always be alternative
strategies when dealing with terrorist groups. Ideally, Intelligence is strongly correlated to
