Condemned linen are stained or torn linen which cannot be further
used . They are used as pillow cases ,laundry bag , wiping cloth(dusters) etc.
2.what is the record you maintain for linen uses?
Room linen control sheet, linen stock book , laundry exchange
Register , linen inventory book.
3.Guest supplies in hotel room?
Shoe shine , match box , pen , scribbling pad, Bible, toilet soap,
shampoo , toilet roll, bedroom slipper, tooth paste kit, shaving kit, talc,
coconut oil ,bath scrub, for your care, etc.
4.qualities of a house keeper?
o Eye for detail
o Leadership skills
o Pleasant personality
o Social skill
o Managerical ability of man, money & material
5.what is carpet , selection facter of carpet , kinds of carpets?
Carpet is defined as a floor covering made up of synthetic fibres of
yarn such as polysters, dergli, olefin or nylon must be strong and its face
fibres should be in high desinty, height, twist and weave.
Count is the size of the yarn which is of 840 yards.
6. what is spring cleaning, par stock, preventive maintenance.
Spring cleaning is defined as that through cleaning which is done
once in particular period of time.
Par stock means minimum stock required to meet the demands of an
establishments at 100% occupancy for 24hrs
Eg:Linen, glass, ware etc.
Preventive maintenance is the systematic approach to maintenance
in which situation are identified, corrected on regular basis to control cost and
keep larger problem from occurring.
7.If you find any yellow stains in bath tub what will you do?
Use diluted or mild acid with cleaning agent and scrub the bath
Tub.
8.what is the duty of floor house keeper?
o Inspects all the room comopleted and cleaned by floor man.
o Prepare occupancy report.
o Prepare indent for the floor conserned.
