UV-vis absorption spectra of the prepared sample was analyzed to gather information on its
optical band gap. The absorption tends to increase towards the shorter wavelength region,
showing a phenomenon in which the absorption rate increases in the blue shift. The decrease
in particle size may be responsible for the shifting of absorption bands towards a lower
wavelength.
