PURPOSE OF THE COURSE
This course imparts knowledge and skills to learners of being patriotic to their nation through
understanding ways of promoting national cohesion and integration in our country and existing in a
cohesive and integrated society.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME
By the end of this module the leaner should be able to:
i) Define various concepts in national cohesion and integration.
ii) Discuss the need for a cohesive society and fight tribalism in Kenya
iii) Examine roles of NCIC and TJRC among other institutions that support National cohesion
and integration

iv) Discuss the mandate of Devolution , Vision 2030 and the media in enhancing National
cohesion and integration.
