WHAT IS MICROSOFT WORD: Microsoft word is a comprehensive word processing program,
optimized with graphics
PART OF MICROSOFT WORD
TITLE BAR: it displays the name of the program and the current file name.
QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR: it contains frequently use commands.
TAB BAR: it contains different buttons with a list of commands.
RIBBON BAR: it displays the the commands or properties of buttons on the Tab Bar.
HORIZONTAL/VERTICAL RULER: it adjusts the page margins.
SCROLL BAR: it moves the page up, down, left or right ward.
STATUS BAR: it displays the current and total number of pages on the screen.
PAGE VIEW: it displays the current document in a different layout.
ZOOM: it increases or reduces the size of the page.
TASK BAR: it provides an access to start a program.

1).The Title Bar in MS Word is present beside the Quick Access Toolbar. The main function of this title
bar is to show the details or title of the document that is currently open. The title bar is present and is
displayed in almost all computer applications
2).The Quick Access Toolbar is a command line that appears either above or below the main ribbon tabs
in Word, PowerPoint and Excel. The Quick Access Toolbar grants direct (quick) access to a set of desired
commands in a toolbar that is always visible no matter which ribbon tab is selected
3).A Tab bar stop doesn't position text. It inserts a vertical bar at the tab position. Unlike other tabs, the
tab bar is added to the text as soon as you click the ruler. If you don't clear the tab bar stop before you

CLIPBOARD RIBBON
1).CUT(CTRL+X): It cuts a selection from the document and places it on the clipboard or another location
within the document.
Steps
I select the text you want to cut.
ii. click cut on the clipboard.
iii place the cursor in a new position and click paste.
2).COPY(CTRL+C): It copy selection and put it on a clipboard or a different location in the document.
Steps
i. select the text you want to copy.
ii. click copy on the clipboard.
iii. place the cursor in a new position and click paste.
3). PASTE (CTRL+V): it inserts the content of a clipboard or what is cut or copy.
4). PASTE SPECIAL: it inserts document or complex objects from other programs with a different file
format.
Steps
i select the text or object you want to copy in a different program.
ii. click copy
iii. Place the cursor in a position in the current program.
iv click paste special
v. select the file format for the document or object.
vi. click ok.
5).PASTE AS HYPERLINK: inserts the content of a clipboard as a link.
Steps
i select the text you want to copy
ii. click copy on the clipboard

6). FORMAT PAINTER(CTRL+SHIFT+C)
It copies the formatting of one document to another.
Steps
i select the text you want to copy it's formats.
ii. click on format painter on the clipboard.
iii. select the other document with the aid of the brush.
7). SHOW OFFICE CLIPBOARD TASK PANE: it opens the office clipboard pane.
FONT RIBBON
1).FONT(CTRL+SHIFT+F): it changes the font face or character style.
Steps
i select the text you want to change it style
ii. click font
iii. select a type of font.
2). FONT SIZE( CTRL+SHIFT+P): it changes the font size

i select the text you want to change it size.
ii. click font size
iii. choose a size according to your specifications.
3). GROW FONT (CTRL+>): it increases the font size.

i select the text you want to increase it font.
ii. click grow don't repeatedly
4). SHRINK FONT(CTRL+<): it decreases the font size.
Steps
i select the text you want to decrease it size
ii. click shrink font repeatedly
5). CLEAR FORMATTING: it clears all the formatting from the section, leaving on the plain text.

i select the text you want to remove it formats.
ii. click clear formatting.
6). BOLD (CTRL+B): it makes the selected text bold.

ii click bold
7). ITALIC (CTRL+I): it italicize the selected text.

8).UNDERLINE (CTRL+U): underline selected text.
