Before going into the exam room, I would review Asia’s chart to familiarize myself with the patient’s labs, notes, growth charts as well as other history. An interval history is appropriate for Asia because she has been here before. Questions I would ask the parent would include:  Have there been any changes since her last visit?  Have there been any developmental or growth concerns or delays?  Is she in day care?  If so, how are things going?  Any recent illness, labs or ER visits?  Does the parent have any concerns?
